Team Uprising is an exclusive multigaming team dedicated to competitive gaming. Our aims are not only to achieve success in gaming, but additionally to assist in building a competitive environment for whatever competition we join. An example of this is the Day of Defeat community which we have had a large hand in supporting.

Since its inception in early '05, Team Uprising has had success in every competition it has joined, be it online, or at LAN. We have placed in the finals of every online competition we have ever participated in, and at every LAN (where the competition is legitimate) we have either placed in the grand final, or won the grand final.

All Team Uprising members are expected to perform at a high level of competition in a team environment. We are focused on increasing player skill, their teamwork and also developing the skill of competitive communities we participate in. Our members are always expected to be knowledgable about gaming in general, and to best represent our sponsors wherever possible. To this end we pride ourselves on excellent recruitment strategy, singling out the most suitable candidates by a variety of factors.

The next objective for Team Uprising is to promote gaming on a more mainstream level. It is our belief that gaming is only going to get more and more popular, both to an Australian / New Zealander audience and a worldwide audience.

Founded as a Day of Defeat 1.3 clan in early '05 by James "dice" Circa, Team Uprising commenced with the recruitment of several exo members to form the original lineup. This signalled the beginning of excellent recruitment for Team Uprising, with several prominent members of the Day of Defeat community joining the clan.

Team Uprising then moved to Day of Defeat Source, where it achieved great success. James "dice" Circa, Steve "ipx" Ivcovici and Steve "coldfront" Franco recruited the basis of what eventually became the most successful Day of Defeat Source team to play the game.

Old school 1.3 greats ball, hef, gC (doncornuto), Zarth, IceAgeComing (tHoM) and clarky formed the basis of the uprising roster. This lineup paricipated in nearly all the various non-GA competitions that were around at the inception of DoD:S, and won all that it played in. When season 2 of GA started, players like gC and clarky became inactive due to other commitments, so James picked up me, Sheriff (Iowa). This lineup went on to win GA season 2 convincingly against sk rivals v3, in cooperation with the redux multigaming organisation.

Achieving much success over the next few seasons, with perennial uprising opponent Dave_of_Defeat joining the roster, the team seemed to be fully fledged with no apparent real weakness, apart from the weakness of the DoD:S engine itself.

The next stage - Team Uprising branches out.

The first venture into multigaming for uprising was its initial merger with a Counter Strike:Source (CS:S) team, forming uR-css. This was short lived, with the members departing their separate ways.Shortly after, uprising merged for a short period of time with the excellent redux multigaming organisation. After the death of redux the uprising team continued onwards unscathed.

With the release of Call of Duty 4 (CoD4), Team Uprising decided to enter a division into the CyberGamer Ladder competition which would be solely made up of Day of Defeat players. Although most players had nearly no experience with CoD4, the team still managed to make CG-Main, and put in a decent showing in finals gameplay, in spite of highly suspect opposition. In addition, uprising fielded a team at the xLan NZ WCG 08 event, the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. This team placed second at this LAN event, making it to the grand final stage area, again with highly inexperienced players (such as myself).

Tean Uprising then branched out to CS 1.6, picking up Matthew "BURTON" Burton as the manager of its successful 1.6 division. Also, with the release of Call of Duty:World at War (CoD:WaW), Team Uprising has entered a division into the CoD:WaW CG ladder.

The present - a return to our roots.

Most recently, uprising formed a Day of Defeat 1.3 division, picking up members of the monstrous team MMG. After a couple of months of banter and practise, this team attended the DoDEvent LAN for DoD 1.3, and managed to win the grand final, furthering our LAN success.

Addendum

Team Uprising attributes a large part of its success to developing a core group of highly skilled players. We seek to participate in and develop online communities and as such we approach our games in the most competitive manner possible. We accept no less than the highest standard of play that our members can produce, and due to our selective nature all our members deliver this constantly.
